About E Shram Card
Labour & Employment is one of the oldest and important Ministries of the Government of India. The e-Shram portal aims to create a centralized database of all unorganized workers in India, including construction workers, migrant workers, gig and platform workers, street vendors, domestic workers, and agricultural workers. To register on the e-Shram portal, one must be an unorganized worker, aged between 16 and 59 years, and not a member of the EPFO, ESIC, or NPS. Registration requires an Aadhaar number and a mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
Benefits of E Shram Card
The e-Shram card offers several important benefits to workers in the unorganised sector. On reaching the age of 60, cardholders are eligible to receive a pension of Rs 3,000 per month. In addition, the card provides death insurance coverage of Rs 2,00,000, as well as financial assistance of Rs 1,00,000 if the worker becomes partially disabled. In the event of the death of the beneficiary, these benefits are transferred to his/her spouse. In addition, e-Shram cardholders receive a unique 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN), which is valid and recognised across India, ensuring portability of benefits and identity for workers across the country.

- First of all you have to go to eshram portal.
- After this the official website of eshram.gov.in portal will open in front of you.

- To login, go to the home page of the website https://eshram.gov.in/
- After which you have to click on "Already Registered? UPDATE"
- After this a new page will open in front of you which will be like this
- After coming to this page first you have to type the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar through which you had done the registration.
- After this you have to type the captcha written in the image and click on Send OTP.
- Now type the OTP received on your mobile and click on Login.
- You will now be logged into eshram card.

How to Apply Online for an e-Shram Card
- Step 1: - Visit the e-Shram portal and navigate to the Self-registration page.
- Step 2:- Enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and the captcha code as displayed. Then, click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.
- Step 3:- You will receive an OTP on the mobile number you entered. Enter your Aadhaar number, accept the terms and conditions, and input the OTP. Click on the ‘Validate’ button to proceed.
- Step 4:- Your personal details will appear on the screen. Confirm that these details are correct.
- Step 5: - Enter additional required details such as your address, educational qualifications, etc.
- Step 6:- Select your skill name, nature of business, and type of work from the options provided.
- Step 7:- Enter your bank details and choose the appropriate self-declaration.
- Step 8:- Click on the ‘Preview’ option to review the information you’ve entered. If everything is correct, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- Step 9:- You will receive another OTP on your mobile number. Enter this OTP and click on the ‘Verify’ button.
- Step 10: - Once verified, your e-Shram card will be generated and displayed on the screen. You can download and print it for future reference.
